Ohio State Rivalry Uniforms to be worn vs TSUN November 30, 2013

The Ohio State Buckeyes will unveil a fifth Nike "rivalry" uniform in less than two weeks when the team travels to Ann Arbor, Mich., for the 110th edition of "The Game": Ohio State vs. Michigan.

The uniform look features white jerseys with large scarlet numbers on front, and on the shoulder pads. Names across the back are in all black. The white pants include scarlet, black and white piping along the sides.

Seven Buckeye leaves ring the back of the collar and a "Block O" is on the front of the collar at the front v-neck.

The team will sport the shiny chrome helmet with a wide scarlet, white and black stripe that it wore for this year's Wisconsin game.

Some additional information about the uniform:

• Incorporation of Nike's Chain Maille Mesh into the jersey allows for exceptional ventilation without sacrificing durability and seamless integration with the baselayer top.

• Nike Dri-Fit technology helps the team gear up to combat the colder temperatures. The new Nike Hyperwarm Eclipse Dri-Fit Max Mock provides athletes with a streamlined, thermo-regulated baselayer that doesn't sacrifice warmth. The baselayer features lightweight panels to reduce bulk as well as side mesh gussets allowing for a full range of motion and extra breathability. Nike Dri-Fit Max twill - a combination of thick and thin threads - accelerates the pull of moisture from the skin, keeping the body dry and helping to eliminate chill.

Ohio State's white uniform look is completed by all-white Nike Alpha Pro Cleats and Nike Vapor Jet 2.0 Shield Gloves. Constructed with seamless Nike Hyperfuse on the back of the hand for wind and water-resistance, the Nike Vapor Jet 2.0 Shield Glove is equipped with a fleece lining on back of hand for extra warmth. The palm features Nike Magnigrip material to catch in any condition. With a 3/4 length Phylon wedge at the midsole, the Nike Alpha Pro Cleat promotes forefoot control through low profile cushioning. The bladed cleat base provides 360 degree traction for precise cuts on all surfaces.

Ohio State is 6-0 wearing alternate, rivalry style uniforms with wins over Michigan in 2009 at Michigan Stadium (21-10) and in 2010 at Ohio Stadium (37-7), a win over Wisconsin in 2011 at Ohio Stadium (33-29), an Ohio Stadium win over Michigan in 2012 (26-21) and Ohio Stadium wins this year over Wisconsin, 31-24, and Penn State, 63-14. November football inspires new all-white integrated system engineered for all weather conditions

The Ohio State Buckeyes will take the field on Nov. 30 in a new all-white uniform.

Performing at the highest level often means battling both your opponents and the elements. Knowing that athletes perform best with the fewest distractions, Nike Dri-Fit technology helps the team gear up to combat the colder temperatures. The Nike Football uniform system features white jerseys with scarlet numbering on front and shoulders. Athlete names across the back are showcased in black. The white pants include scarlet, black and white piping along the sides. Seven Buckeye leaves ring the back of the collar and a “Block O” anchors the Nike Flywire technology at the neckline. Ohio State's released a gallery of photos of the all-white alternate "Rivalry" uniforms the Buckeyes will be wearing against M*ch*gan November 30th.

Conforming to the same design standards of the jerseys the Buckeyes wore against Wisconsin during arguably the biggest recruiting weekend of the year, this year's uniforms revisit the Chrome helmets the Buckeyes wore against Michigan last year during OSU's 26-20 victory to clinch just the sixth unbeaten season in school history. They additionally have much larger uniform numbers than normal with a white outline (though in others, it almost appears gray) around the scarlet , larger typeface. The shoulder stripes are larger and more pronounced and appear to be a bit more conformed to form than those on the ordinary Ohio State football jerseys.

The collar features the Athletic O, but uses the older version that athletic department is in the process of phasing out. This would certainly be in line with the idea that the uniforms were designed a year ago in conjunction with the ones the Buckeyes wore against UM then. Source: Land-Grant Holy Land
